IO-Link Assembly Meeting with international participation
On 21 June 2023, almost 70 representatives of the IO-Link community from Germany, Japan, the Czech Republic, the USA and Great Britain met for the annual IO-Link Members Assembly in summery Bad Soden. An overview was given of the current developments in the community, IO-Link Wireless, IO-Link Safety and much more. In designing the agenda, the community once again showed how "universal - smart - easy" IO-Link is!
During the meeting, Fortress Safety from Wolverhampton, United Kingdom was introduced as the 450th member of the community. Rob Johnson, Technical Director at Fortress, gave a short presentation about the company and the motivation to join the IO-Link community. Fortress designs and manufactures bespoke safety equipment, to protect people working in hazardous workplaces.
In addition, World Cafes were also held for the first time as part of the members' meeting. The participants used this opportunity to help shape the future course of action in the community and to express their needs and wishes. The discussions were very fruitful and those responsible gained new insights into what is required of the community.
