Record IO-Link participation

IO-Link's unprecedented number of devices is being showcased at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2013 in Nuremberg (Hall 6, Booth 210). With 127 devices from 29 manufacturers, IO-Link can boast record participation. Numerous innovations are providing users with even more benefits and rounding out the IO-Link product range.

More than ever, the emphasis is on the large range of available IO-Link products. Accordingly, the Nuremberg event includes 30 completely new products, which are also opening up new device categories. For example, masters with Device Net and with Sercos connection are being shown on the IO-Link wall for the first time. New categories of devices are also being added, such as IO-Link connectors, signal lights, signal converters, and capacitive sensors.

As a vendor-neutral standard for single cabling and communication solutions, IO-Link is winning more and more recognition in the machine and plant construction field. Meanwhile, IO-Link is being used in numerous industry sectors and machines. In Nuremberg, users can see for themselves the current extent of the product diversity of IO-Link and the how quickly IO-Link is growing. In dialog with users, work is continuing on development of new devices for productive, flexible, and cost-reducing automation products with IO-Link.

Not only the product range but also the IO-Link community is growing continuously. The number of members of the IO-Link Consortium is currently 59. In this year alone, three new companies have joined the group.
